Mockerkin Tarn (2 bedroom sleeps 5) is a cosy log cabin which stands in 18 acres of beautiful private
woodland, within just a few minutes walk of Loughrigg Tarn.
Recently purchased, Mockerkin Tarn has beneffited from a host of improvements including new fitted
kitchen with integrated fan oven and ceramic hob, small freezer, new secure gated decking, all beds
replaced in 2012 including Gold standard mattresses, DVD, 32" TV with Freesat, cream soft leather 3
seater sofa and chair, Guests will have access to Free WiFi within the cabin from July 2017
Nestling in an area of complete seclusion at the foot of the Langdale Valley, where some of the Lake
Districts most inviting hills and crags can be found, this is most certainly paradise for walkers and climbers
bikers or those who simply enjoy a short stroll.
During the months from 1st March to the 15th November you have free use of the Log Cabin Leisure Club
which is situated within the grounds offering swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and games room. There are
laundry facilities and payphone housed within the Pool Building.
The lodge is heated by electric panel heaters , has been carefully and comfortably planned and comprises:
Lounge: With comfortable Leather 3 seater Sofa and Chair, TV, DVD, CD/hi-fi and coal effect electric fire.
Patio doors lead to decking with outdoor funiture and garden area.
Kitchen/dining area: With electric cooker, fridge and microwave.
Shower room: With shower cubicle, WC and hand basin.
Bedroom 1: Double bedroom. The Double Bed has been replaced in 2012 and is fitted with a Gold
Standard Mattress
Bedroom 2: Bunk beds plus a single bed (all beds have been replaced in 2012 and have Gold Standard
mattresses fitted.
As with all of our cabins, visitors to Mockerkin Tarn have free access to the on-site family sized indoor
swimming pool.
The log cabin has easy access and is suitable for most reasonably active persons it may not be suitable
for the elderly or infirm due to the hillside location. There is no wheelchair access.
