We have been staying at Bolton
Tarn twice a year for the last five
years.
In our opinion it can't be beaten,
chalet and facilities are excellent!
It's just like home from home!!
Better actually, because at home
we don't get all the wildlife that
comes with Boltons:- ie Badgers,
deer,s quirrals and all types of
birdlife. Nightly Badger visits,
posing almost for the camera

relaxing BBQ's we have.

Thank you for the use of Bolton's Tarn. We had a very
enjoyable week and the weather was very kind to us so that
was a huge bonus. Our young dog Oscar, a Hungarian Vizsla,
had the time of his life. It was nice to come back to your cosy
and comfortable chalet at the end of each busy day and relax
with a few beers and a bottle of wine. Very much home from
home.
The badger called on us making two visits of about twenty
minutes each time. We were amazed at how tame he was even
when we opened the doors and ventured out onto the verandah.
The bird life was a constant source of interest throughout the

This was our first visit to Mockerkin Tarn but I hope it

What a great place. The cabin was perfect, much better than
we imagined before we arrived. Warm, cosy, all mod cons,
we couldnt fault it. If its peace and quiet you are after this
is the place to be. Theres no need to drive anywhere if you
dont want to, some great walks straight from the site.

Fantastic week in the springtime snow! Fabulous Lodge, could not have
asked for a more tranquil & beautiful settingPool and table tennis a real
bonus for the kids with added benefit of Wifi. Lovely to be able to do so
much walking and cycling straight from the estaterather than having to trek
around in the car first. Lodge and beds cosy despite sub zero night time
temperatures. We will be back and will recommend to friends and family.

A fantastic break away from the normal xmas

What an amazing break away with the family! Weve visited the Lakes a few times but have to
say that we just loved this log cabin and its stunning setting. Mockerkin Tarn cabin was more
than we expected, finding everything we needed and all the extras like books, games, DVD`s
were a big added bonus.
We loved the location, walking distance to Grasmere via the amazing Loughrigg Fell (or take
the road for an easier option) and only a short drive to the spectacular Langdale and Ambleside
